October 8th Message of the Week
Perfect Power
Psalm 103:11-12 NIV “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is HIS love for those who fear HIM; as far as the east is from the west, so far has HE removed our transgressions from us.”
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we say that we believe in HIM. However, do we take time to meditate on God’s word to believe HIM and what HE says to us about how much HE loves us? Sometimes we tend to focus on the obedience part of our walk with GOD so much that we forget about GOD’s grace and mercy toward us. Instead of a relationship with our creator, our thoughts or actions start to become a checkbox religion. I didn’t curse today, check! I didn’t tell a lie today, check! If I can check all the boxes today, I can rest assured that God isn’t mad at me.
In the passage above, we are told that his love for us is as high as the heavens, and HE has removed our sins from as far as the East is from the West. Did you ever think about how far the east is from the west? It’s infinite. That’s the PERFECT POWER of JESUS CHRIST. HE fulfilled God’s wrath when HE died on the cross for us. HE removed our transgressions from us. That’s how much GOD loves us.
The next time you find yourself dwelling on the wrong you’ve done or if you checked all the boxes for the day, remember this passage. Believe GOD when he tells you just how much HE loves you.

BELIEVE IN HIM. BELIEVE WHAT HE SAYS. BELIEVE IN HIS PERFECT POWER.
