December 3rd Message of the Week
“THE GREATEST IS LOVE.”
In 1 Corinthians 13:1-3, Paul speaks of love. “If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And if I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profiteth me nothing.”
What a strong Scripture. Over and over in the Bible GOD shows us the importance of love. In 1 Corinthians 13:13, “But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is LOVE.” A thought; how are we demonstrating and spreading the LOVE that God has shown us?
In our own congregation, I have seen LOVE shine so much. I have seen how much growth has come from it spiritually that has impacted me. I have truly felt the blessings of this congregation and seen God’s work.
In conclusion, God loved us in the most remarkable way that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die for us on that cross! So, the GREATEST… IS LOVE!
